It's only been a few hours since the video of Solange attacking Jay Z surfaced, and the internet has gone wild with the news. The one question on everyone's mind: how did the footage get released?

The fight took place at the Standard Hotel in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. It's likely that a security guard or an employee videotaped the surveillance footage and shared it with TMZ. If it was someone working for the hotel, he or she might as well kiss their job goodbye. At least that's what a PR rep for the hotel says in a statement.

"We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests," said the Standard Hotel's publicist. "We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity."

There's no word yet on what made Solange attack Jay Z. It's doubtful we'll ever know the full story considering how private Hov and Beyonce are. Let's just hope Solange is the one to shed some light on the subject sooner than later.
