Happy Birthday, Mila J!

Jhene Aiko is more well known, but her sister Mila J's been in the game longer. Did you know that she made an appearance in Prince's video for "Diamonds and Pearls"? Mila J turns 33 years old today (Nov. 18).

After the appearance, Mila J appeared on tracks with the likes of Omarion and Trey Songz. She went on hiatus after 2009, and returned in 2012 as Japollonia (perhaps a reference to Purple Rain's Apollonia). She eventually went back to being just Mila J, a name that stuck.

After signing with Motown, Mila J has been making smooth, albeit overlooked jams. She finally released M.I.L.A., her debut EP, in 2014. The hype still isn't massive yet, but Mila J is just a hit away.
