Happy Birthday, Keith Murray! The Long Island representer is 43 years old today (Sept. 13).

Murray, of course, made his name as one of the 1990s most voracious rhyme beasts; breaking out as a star amongst Erick Sermon's uber-talented Def Squad crew. Sermon produced Murray's hit debut album The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World in 1994, and the single became a 90s East Coast classic.

Murray would drop Enigma in 1996, and alongside Def Squad (Murray, Sermon and Redman) appeared on the acclaimed compilation In tha Beginning...There Was Rap in 1997. The crew dropped El Nino in 1998,

before Murray resumed his solo career with It's a Beautiful Thing (1999), He's Keith Murray (2003), Rap-Murr-Phobia (The Fear of Real Hip-Hop) (2007).

Def Squad reunited for the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards, performing in a cypher. That same year, Keith dropped The Murray Madness Mixtape. Murray dropped the Erick Sermon-produced "No Exceptions" back in February 2017.
