Kristopher Campbell was shy in high school. Now, he's K Camp, a rapper with a few bangers to his name. The Milwaukee-born, Atlanta-bred rhymer turns 25 today (April 27).

K Camp is fairly new to the rap game. After getting over his shyness in high school, he broke out in Atlanta with his local hit "All Night" in 2009. It would take K Camp a few years to take his hip-hop dreams a step further and garner a solid following.

He built his local fan base with a few underground releases when "Cut Her Off," an admittedly smug club number featuring 2 Chainz, hit the mainstream lens in 2014. Out of the four singles he released, "Cut Her Off" became his highest charting at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Like many breakout songs from the south, K Camp's hit got the remix treatment from Lil Boosie, Yo Gotti and Soootie Wild. He then collaborated with the latter on "Made Me," another 2014 banger.

The success of "Cut Her Off" hasn't brought the rapper the mainstream success just yet, but that's likely because he hasn't dropped a debut album. SlumLords, the mixtape that followed the song, was overlooked by many and didn't sit too well with critics. But K Camp is still young, and if that NSFW video for "Lil Bit" is any indicator, he's doing all right.
