Another one of the aughts' pop stars celebrates her birthday today (Sept. 26). This time, it's Christina Milian, who turns 34 years old.

The New Jersey native started writing songs at the age of 17 after she moved to Los Angeles then struck gold in her first professional appearance: A feature on Ja Rule's 2000 hit "Between Me & You" brought her into the spotlight. One year later, she achieved success on her own with "AM to PM," a Radio Disney-friendly Billboard hit.

Milian had two other hits after "AM to PM." "Dip It Low" brought Fabolous along for a No. 5 hit in 2004, and in 2006, she teamed up with Jeezy for "Say I." However, she never had impressive album sales in the U.S.; none of her albums achieved gold certification.

The singer did keep afloat with a decent movie career, scoring roles in Love Don't Cost a Thing and Be Cool. She hasn't starred in anything huge recently (her most recent, 2013's Baggage Claim, was widely panned) but she's returned to music. Milian's affiliation with the Young Money crew (she made recent headlines for her breakup with Lil Wayne) has produced tracks like "Start a Fire" and "Do It." She's also got a starring role in the new FOX comedy Grandfathered featuring Full House star John Stamos. Weezy also makes a cameo on the show this season.
