André 3000 is one of the most beloved rappers in the music game. Despite never releasing a solo project, the Atlanta native is often mention in people’s Top five “best rapper’s alive” lists. The OutKast member, who is also a fashion designer, celebrates his 43rd birthday today (May 27).

André 3000, whose real name is André Benjamin, is among a group of influential Geminis in music that includes Kendrick Lamar, Jadakiss and Lauryn Hill, as well as the late artists Prince, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Tupac Shakur. Looking at this list, it’s not hard to figure out why we love Three Stacks so much -- he's a musical conglomerate of those aforementioned artists.

Our only birthday wish for André 300 is for him to drop an official solo album. Although he hasn’t recorded music in several years, on Mother’s Day, André 3K blessed us two new songs -- a 17-minute instrumental "Look Ma No Hands" and "Me&My (To Bury Your Parents),” a jazzy tune with the rapper playing the clarinet.

But André is more than just a musician. He's also a fashion designer and brand consultant. He's currently creating kicks for heritage sneaker company Tretorn.

Outside of music and fashion, he's a doting dad of Seven Benjamin who was recently accepted to four different colleges. So life is good for Mr. Benjamin.

On his 43rd birthday, the veteran rapper was showered with birthday wishes from his adoring fans on Twitter. Some people posted their favorite songs from Three Stacks, while others offered their thoughts on why he is such an influential artist in music.
