According to reports, Haitian rapper Jean "Jimmy O" Alexandre has been confirmed dead. Jimmy was being sought by popular producer/rapper Wyclef Jean, who has been a major contributor to the Haitian relief fund, raising over $2 million towards emergency relief for the people of Haiti.

"I urge everyone who's listening right now that knows how great this kid is in Haiti - I need y'all to verify this information. It would be a terrible loss for us," Wyclef told CNN.

Jimmy O was a member of Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation. Tragically, he was driving to Purt-au-Prince to work on his mixtape when the earthquake struck, and his car was crushed by rubble.

His body was found today, Friday (Jan. 15), and verified via a passport, found on his person. He was 35.

Jimmy was an integral member of the Haitian rap scene, mentoring younger MC's and working with Wyclef's foundation to help the local community. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
