Gwyneth Paltrow to Perform Cee Lo’s ‘F— You’ on ‘Glee’
Though initially criticized for being too obscene for the mainstream, Cee Lo Green’s catchy song ‘F— You’ has rocketed the Gnarls Barkley frontman back into the public’s heart, spawning several remixes, a kid-friendly clean version, and even inspiring Hollywood stars to perform the song on national television.
Having recently been performed on ‘Lopez Tonight’ by William Shatner, the next actor to take a crack at Cee Lo’s “vulgar” summer hit is Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, who is scheduled to sing the edited version, ‘Forget You,’ on Fox’s ‘Glee,’ airing Nov. 16.
The 38-year-old actress will be portraying a substitute teacher on the popular show. “Gwyneth is a great singer,” ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy said. “She’s done it a little bit, but I really want to show it off and show everyone how great she is.”
Meanwhile, Cee Lo’s highly anticipated third album, ‘The Lady Killer,’ is scheduled to hit shelves Nov. 9.
