The good thing that's come from Meek Mill's imprisonment is that it forced MMG's smaller players to step up in his absence. Stalley's debut album, 'Ohio,' is finally dropping on Oct. 27, then there's the release of Gunplay's self-titled mixtape.

DJ Epps and DJ Nasty host the 19-track effort, which finds the rapper spitting lines over some of rap's recent bangers like Pusha T's 'Numbers on the Board' and Bobby Shmurda's 'Hot N----.'

The wildman of the group brings the lyrical heat on tracks featuring collaborations with N.O.R.E., Cormega and Rick Ross, among others. On 'Hot N----,' Gunplay shouts out the Brooklyn kid who brought the song to the national spotlight with one dance. "When a n---- slide whole 'hood said they heard I did it / Threw the throwaways in the air like a Shmurda fitted / N--- got they hunters and they comin' for your neck / Bitch I'm bout 100 what the fuck is 50 Cents," he rhymes. The Bishop crazy speech at the beginning of the project should tip you off to the lyrical debauchery that goes down.

There's more Gunplay to come soon, too. He's getting ready to release his solo debut album, 'Living Legend,' next year. MMG should be at full force by then with Meek Mill out of jail. The Philly native and fellow labelmate Wale will also drop new albums.
