Gunplay Released on $150,000 Bond, Placed Under House Arrest
Rapper Gunplay was reportedly released on a $150,000 bond earlier today, after being arrested for armed robbery last week.
"The state did not prove that Mr. Morales was a flight risk or a threat to the community," said his attorney. "He should be home with his family shortly. This is first step in clearing his name so he can continue his emerging music career."
On April 13, the 33-year-old Rick Ross affiliate, born Richard Morales, allegedly robbed a man at a Miami tax business of his gold chain and cell phone, while brandishing a firearm, and struck him on the head.
Gunplay currently faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, armed robbery with a firearm, and is currently under house arrested, after posting bond.
Earlier this month, Gunplay was also involved in a fight with 50 Cent after the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.
