2010 has been a tumultuous year for Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane. On May 4, while in prison for violating his probation, Gucci fired his manager, Debra Antney, amidst rumors that she and his booking agent, who he also fired, were taking advance deposits for headlining shows that they knew he would be unable to attend. Gucci is now back in the news for rehiring Debra Antney.

After being released from prison on May 12, Gucci claimed he was taking control of his business and focusing on his career and music. Then in October, it was rumored that Gucci checked into a rehab facility for cocaine, a substance the rapper has a history of problems with. On Nov. 2, he was arrested for running a red light, driving on the wrong side of the road, damaging government property and obstruction. To top it off, Gucci didn't have a license. The charges were later mysteriously dropped.

It's safe to say, self-management wasn't the way to go for Gucci, so Debra Antney's return may reap positive benefits. Antney is best-known as the mother of Gucci protege Waka Flocka Flame, and was instrumental in the careers of OJ Da Juiceman, Lex Luger and Young Money star Nicki Minaj, all of whom have been repped by her company Mizay Entertainment.

"That's my nephew," she told XXL, in regards to her reconciliation with Gucci. "I love him. This is beyond the music game."

Let's hope she can keep him on the right side of the road from now on.
