Fans anxious to see Kanye West perform at the 2016 Governors Ball music festival will be sadly disappointed. On Sunday (June 5), organizers have canceled the final day of the festival “due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area.”

According to a statement on the festival's official website, original ticket holders can get refunds for their purchased tickets. This bit of bad news means that sets by Joey Bada$$, Vince Staples and headlining act Kanye West will not go on as planned.

According to local weather reports, the worst of the severe weather is likely to hit the New York area at 8PM, which is about the same time Yeezy is about to hit the stage.

If you have ever been to a Kayne West show, you know he uses a lot of visual imagery that requires lots of electricity. So performing under a lightening storm would be dangerous for both Kanye and the concertgoers in attendance.

Despite the Governors Ball canceling their festival, across the way, in New Jersey, Hot 97's Summer Jam event is reportedly still a go. Rain or shine.

Who knows? Kanye West might do set for the audience at Summer Jam.
