Glasses Malone has been waiting since 2006, for his oft-delayed 'Beach Cruiser' LP to see the light of day. While label politics kept the project from hitting stories, a new deal with Hoo-Bangin' Records and Cash Money Records has given the effort an official August 30 release. To hold fans over until they can have something tangible in their hands, the West Coast MC is providing visuals for his track 'Son,' directed by Tha Razor and which was featured on his 'Drive-By Muzik' EP. "The song 'Son' is pretty much a declaration of how I stand alone," Glasses tells the BoomBox. "Don't care to be friends with anyone in this business. I refuse to be anyone's little n----. I'm a grown ass man. The video is the same concept. Just me doin' my thing, talking my s---."

Some supporters may be getting impatient with the hold on the rhymer's album, but serving up clips like 'Son' is all a part of Glasses' approach. "That's why I'm going so hard with dropping videos and songs day in and day out," he states. "I feel like I owe the fans so much music and respect for being down with me and waiting. As for fans questioning the release, I don't blame 'em. My fears and their fears are alike. I worry a lot more about it being shelved then they do. Aug. 30 is the date; I put all those fears to bed though."

The video finds Glasses Malone in his element, spitting lyrics on rooftops and in front of fenced-in buildings, most likely where he kicked rhymes in cyphers during his come-up.
