Game’s Manager Named As Government Informant

Game‘s manager, Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond is fielding shots to his public image this week, after new information reveals that the Czar Entertainment CEO has been named as an informant in several court documents.

The New York Daily News reports that Rosemond has a track record of divulging secrets to both state and federal law enforcement officials, in order to gain leverage for his own legal problems. Rosemond’s cooperation with government officials reportedly dates back to the mid-90s and includes snitching on crooked jail officials to avoid bail-bumping charges, in addition to giving up information for a reduced sentence in a 1996 gun and drug case in North Carolina.

The popular hip-hop executive has worked with other high-profile artists, like Gucci Mane. Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman has attempted damage control by claiming that the information his client provided to police was not of any value. “The fact is that prosecutors later claimed he flat-out lied to them, and they weren’t happy about it,” Lichtman said. “He met with [federal prosecutor] for a single session, but there are plenty of reasons people meet with prosecutors.”

In 2008, the L.A. Times ran a story accusing Rosemond and Bad Boy mogul, Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs of being involved in Tupac Shakur’s 1994 murder. The Times later retracted the story and apologized for any damages caused to the two parties.
