Freddie Gibbs already secured a spot as one of rap’s best performers of the year with the release of his critically acclaimed album ‘Piñata’ produced by Madlib. But, it appears Gangsta Gibbs has no intentions to slow down as he preps for the release of yet another project.

This time around, Gibbs is joining Bay Area fixture The World’s Freshest (formerly known as DJ Fresh) for another edition of the DJ’s long-running series of ‘The Tonite Show’ albums. Gibbs and Fresh offer up listeners a taste of what to expect with the funky cut ‘G Like Dat’ produced by Mr. Tower. Gibbs uncorks the hard-hitting rhymes listeners are used to hearing, but also sings a few lines in a similar style to Z-Ro.

Gibbs raps, ” Rolling, pockets all swollen / got two b—es with me blowing that Billy Ocean / open that, led us the left and I’m left coasting / b—h in the Lexus now, I’m in the GS smoking / bobbing like a m——–a, dark to the daytime / take a bullet before I let a n—a take mine.”

‘The Tonight Show with Freddie Gibbs’ is scheduled to drop on May 13th and can be pre-order now on iTunes. The Gibbs & World’s Freshet collaboration also boasts an impressive lineup of guests including E-40, Trae Tha Truth and Yukmouth among others.
