Before they deliver their full-length album in early 2014, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have finished their series of 12" releases with 'Deeper.'

The EP features two new songs, the title track and 'Harold's,' along with the instrumentals for both and two bonus beats from Madlib. And on the track 'Deeper,' the West Coast producer provides his rapping counterpart with a backdrop full of looping strings, soulful vocal chops, and head-nodding drums.

It's the perfect setting for Gangsta Gibbs, who spits three sharp verses about a relationship that ultimately turns sour. The narrative is a compelling one and the Gary, Ind. native drives it along with rugged rhymes and his trademark, aqueous delivery.

The release of 'Deeper' also brings the news that Madlib and Gibbs will release their full-length effort, 'Pinata,' on Feb. 4, 2014. It's set to feature the likes of Raekwon, Scarface, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, and Ab-Soul, among others.
