Frank Ocean was forced to cancel his the remainder of his Australian tour after a doctor's visit revealed a tear to one of his vocal cords.

The Odd Future singer kicked off the jaunt on Thursday night with a performance at Festival Hall in Melbourne, though he reportedly suffered some "vocal issues" during the show. That's according to a statement issued to Billboard by Live Nation.

The statement also reveals that Ocean sought medical advice following the discomfort and he was told to "rest his voice." Hmm, maybe that's why he only posted the lyrics, and not the audio, for his remix of Migos' Versace'?

Ocean planned on performing at Festival Hall again tonight (July 26) and had shows scheduled for July 29 and 30. He was also set to take the stage during Splendour In The Grass on Sunday, July 28.
