Fans have been waiting with bated breath for Frank Ocean to drop his follow-up to his 2012 debut album, Channel Orange. It’s been four years since that release and we haven’t heard a peep of new music from him...until now.

On Monday (Feb. 29), snippets of what appears to be two new songs from his next project leaked online. Unfortunately, it’s not nothing to get too excited about.

According to Fuse.TV, the audio was captured during a very private listening session. In one lo-fi recording, the R&B crooner is belting out lyrics in his piercing falsetto, while another video features sounds of moody organs.

If the reports are true, that would mean that Ocean is, at the very least, planning to release some new material sometime in 2016.

As of now, the only thing we know about his next project is that it’s tentatively called Boys Don’t Cry.

Reactions to the song leak have been mixed with some excited that Ocean is working on new music, while others are not giving into the hype. Most people are waiting to actually hear a full song before they go bonkers.

"Frank Ocean doesn't exist to me until I hear some concrete music. Bump them snippets," tweeted one fan, while another person wrote, "The world needs way less Chris Brown and way more Frank Ocean."
