Foxy Brown is one of Brooklyn's finest and now she has the key to prove it. Ms. "Ill Na Na" received the key to the city of Brooklyn on Wednesday (March 2).

The Brooklyn rhymer is definitely enjoying her reign. "Wow!!!!!!!! Only ONE Chick Alone Got The "KEY" To Her HOME #BROOKLYN!!!!!!! It's OFFICIAL! BK Is #MINE! #TheKEY," read an Instagram post on Brown's page with a photo of the certificate and key.

She also got some heavy praise from Malcolm X's daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz and Wyclef Jean. "May you reclaim your throne sister," said Shabazz in a video.

Jean decided to take a musical route and dedicated a song to the fierce rap star. "Congratulations to my good friend Foxy Brown / Brooklyn loves you," sang the "Gone Til November" singer while playing the piano.

Brown was celebrated alongside rappers Diggy Simmons and Foxy's fellow Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$ at the "Leaders Of Tomorrow" event.

Simmons also shared his reaction to being honored. "So honored and inspired to be amongst the other honorees that were black leaders in the justice system, in the community, Supreme Court judges and artists," read his Instagram post. "Thank you @bishop_lamor_whitehead for the citation and experience!!"

Brown isn't the first rapper to get a key to a city this year. Kendrick Lamar nabbed the key to Compton last month. It's nice to see rappers gaining love from the cities they enthusiastically represent.
