Earlier this month, Foxy Brown announced plans to unveil the Lil' Kim diss 'Christmas Massacre' at a concert in Brooklyn on Christmas Eve. Flyers for the performance hailed Foxy's single as "the most anticipated response since Jay Z's 'Takeover," yet unfortunately all that "anticipation" went for naught when Foxy failed to show up at her holiday performance, and her 'Christmas Massacre' never made its way to the 'Net.

Though her absence went largely unnoticed by the blogosphere, Foxy still felt the need to defend her failure to appear via Twitter. "Still grieving the loss of someone special & dear to me," she explained. "I'd like to personally apologize for the confusion and venue changing of the beautiful 'Christmas In Brooklyn' party. Although the confusion fell far beyond my control, my responsibility and concern is to my fans and family; my priority. As I always say ... the Devil's at his busiest when ur about to get busy."

Foxy went on to make one final statement regarding the situation, albeit cryptic. "From my heart, I luv yall," she concluded. "Pray for ur girl. Something bigger's going on. But GOD got me covered in his blood."

Since Kim and Foxy's longstanding animosity led to a shooting back in 2001, it's possible that the threat of further violence may have caused Fox to skip her appearance at the 'Christmas Massacre;' or perhaps she just realized the whole thing was in poor taste. There is no word as to if/when 'Christmas Massacre' will ever surface.
