Former Chief Keef Associate Boss Top Arrested for Home Invasion With a Firearm
Former Chief Keef associate Boss Top was arrested on Tuesday (March 1) in Chicago for allegedly breaking into someone’s home and brandishing a weapon.
According to a record filed by the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, Boss Top, whose real name is Tyree M. Davis, was slapped with home invasion and firearm charges and is being held on $1 million bail. The exact circumstances surrounding the home invasion weren't disclosed, but a report by DJ Akademiks suggests that it was a home robbery gone bad.
The 25-year-old rapper is scheduled to appear in court on March 8 to answer to the charges. If Boss Top gets convicted on the charges, he could face 15 years in prison.
Boss Top was once affiliated with Chief Keef until they had a falling out, which then turned into a heated feud back in 2014. It got so bad that the two rappers were threatening each other via Instagram -- brandishing guns in their photos.
