Chart-topping superstars Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are among the musicians gracing Forbes magazine’s annual ’30 Under 30’ list in the music field. Also on the tally are J. Cole, Ryan Lewis, Miguel, Janelle Monae, Wiz Khalifa and others.
All the artists mentioned were saluted by the mag for their talents and entrepreneurial grind in the music game.
On Feb. 2, Mars will headline the 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter is used to the warm weather in his native homestate of Hawaii, but can he handle the freezing single-digit temperatures on the East Coast?
“You gotta be fearless, man,” he tells Forbes. “If I’m ever gonna sing in a blizzard, it may as well be at the Super Bowl.”
In addition to Mars, other artists were recognized for their achievements in 2013.
Drake raked in over $30 million in the past two years and most recently inked an endorsement deal with Jordan Brand.
Fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar earned $9 million last year through his live shows and nabbed seven Grammy nominations for his stellar album, ‘good kid, m.A.A.d. city.’
Ryan Lewis, along with his musical partner Macklemore, released their debut album, ‘The Heist,’ and became the biggest rappers in the game in 2013.
Rihanna had a phenomenal year raking in $43 million from Diamonds world tour, endorsement deals and fragrance collection.
The ’30 Under 30′ list appears in the latest Forbes magazine, which is on newsstands now.
