Fetty Wap has become a bit of a household name since he dropped his hit single, "Trap Queen," last year. The Paterson, N.J. rapper continued his winning streak by stopping by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform his song on Tuesday night (May 5).

With the Roots as his support band, Fetty Wap, born Willie Maxwell, looked right at home on the Tonight Show stage. Hitting every note and lyric with precision, his performance actually sounded exactly like what you hear on the recorded version of the song. He even filled in his own backup vocals on the track, which made it even more interesting to hear and watch. And after he finished the song, the 24-year-old rapper was greeted with a roaring round of applause from the audience and some props from late night host Jimmy Fallon himself.

"Nonstop, nonstop," Jimmy said greeting Fetty onstage. "That was great!"

This is a big moment for Fetty, who seemed pleased with his performance. You can see him brimming with pride at how far he's come. He even posted photos of the experience on Instagram.

"I never thought it could happen this rappin stuff " RIP to the Goat Biggie … I swear I feel like I understand that bar better than anybody else at this moment in my life," he wrote as the caption on one image.

Fetty Wap, who just received a major co-sign from Drake by appearing on his "My Way" remix, is currently on tour around the U.S. and will also be hitting up a number of big hip-hop events including Hot 97 Summer Jam next month. You can find out when he'll be coming to a city near you here.
