Fat Joe has been cleared of charges alleging that he and his entourage engaged in "inappropriate touching" and sexual harassment of an unnamed 33-year-old woman. Fat Joe's lawyer Dawn Florio, Esq. and E1 Entertainment released a statement late last night (June 24) on his behalf.

"Joseph Cartagena, known as Fat Joe and others have been officially cleared by the Madison Wisconsin Police Department of any wrongdoing," the statement read. "Fat Joe had no contact with, and never spoke with his accuser. He was questioned for a few minutes at his hotel room and was never detained by the police. Making a false claim of sexual nature in order to extort money is one of the most horrific accusations because it not only tarnishes reputations but has the potential to destroy families. Mr. Cartagena wholeheartedly thanks his family, friends, and fans for their continued support, loyalty, and words of encouragement throughout this ordeal."

On June 20, Fat Joe performed at the Orpheum Theater in Madison, Wis. Later that evening around 7PM he and his entourage left in a limo with the unnamed woman and headed to their hotel. At approximately 12:45AM the next morning, the woman contacted local authorities claiming that she was the victim of a sexual assault that happened while she was in the vehicle. Fat Joe was then questioned by authorities, but dismissed the claims stating the allegations were money-motivated.

In other news, Fat Joe will release his tenth album 'The Darkside Vol.1' on July 27.
