Drake dropped two new tracks right in the middle of a government shutdown on Friday night (Jan. 19). The songs “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity” are from his Scary Hours EP, which is currently available on all streaming platforms, including Tidal.

On the orchestral “God’s Plan, the OVO Sound leader spits offhand lyrics about his lavish lifestyle.

"She say, 'Do you love me?' I tell her, 'Only partly' / I only love my bed and my momma, I'm sorry / Fifty dub, I even got it tatted on me / 81, they'll bring the crashers to the party," he raps.

Drake is more braggadocios on the Boi-1da-produced “Diplomatic Immunity" where he may have delivered some lyrical shots at his rap rival Joe Budden.

"Shit is complex like short niggas around tall ladies / I gotta watch who I’m talking to like it’s all ages," he rhymes. "I’ve seen budding careers turn to sit around and talk about other careers, judging their peers / Knowledge from niggas who did not contribute to none of this here."

Twitter reactions to Drake's two new songs have been mostly positive, although there were several people who felt that Drizzy's tunes were subpar.

"Drake dropped two absolute bangers tonight. He's better than your favorite artist and that's that," tweeted one fan. Another person wrote, "I fuck with Drake’s music heavy but keep it a stack, those 2 songs he just dropped are mediocre. Dickride outside my mentions tho."
