Fabolous to Release ‘Funeral Service’ ‘Tape as ‘Grieving’ EP
Fabolous is taking a page out of Drake’s book and repackaging his ‘There Is No Competition Pt. 2: The Funeral Service’ mixtape into the ‘There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP,’ which, surprise, will now be available for purchase online and in stores on August 24. The tracklist for the EP was revealed online today and includes two new tracks, the Lex Luger produced track ‘Lights Out (I Don’t See Nobody)’ and ‘Girl You Be Killin’ ‘Em,’ featuring production by Ryan Leslie.
Fab broke the news of the Funeral Service mixtape becoming an EP in a recent interview with MTV’s Mixtape Daily. “Def Jam, this summer, is gonna put the mixtape out as an EP. So I did about four new songs, put ’em with some of the original joints from the mixtape,” Fab told MTV. “We got more viral videos coming. We just gonna keep it going and let it end as the classic it is. A lot of people saying it’s a classic, one of the, if not the best mixtape of 2010. It’s crazy to me, because it started out as something I wanted to give free to the fans and people who accept my work. Def Jam even came in and said, ‘Whoa, we gotta get a piece.’ It’s a good thing, man”
Fab will continue getting money later this year when he releases ‘Loso’s Way 2′ in November. Check out the tracklist for ‘The Grieving Music EP’ after the jump.
