Sweden-based shoe company Eytys may not be a household name but they are garnering some attention in the shoe industry. Last year, they released a line of unisex low top sneakers called "the Mother" made out of canvas, suede and leather. The main attraction of the kicks is its midsole, which is raised high, and the cork insole for comfort.

Eytys is returning this year with a line of high-top sneakers called "the Odyssey."

Much like their low-top counterparts, the new collection comes in canvas, leather or suede in a variety of colors like white, black and purple.

But the one silhouette that caught our eye is the navy canvas high-top with the high midsole in white (see photo above). The vibrant print, designed by London artist Tom Sewell, and the metal eyelets make the sneaker pop.

At first glance, the collection resembles clunky Vans knockoffs you'll find on Canal Street in New York. But we will hold our judgement of them since we haven't tried these shoes on our feet. We simply wanted to inform you of a new shoe company that's presenting a unique twist to the traditional canvas shoe.

Eytys' Odyssey collection won't be available until the fall 2014 season, but you can check out their spring line of sneakers via their official website.
