Even though Eve's sex tape hit the internet in the early 2000s, the rapper says the incident still haunts her today.

In a new interview with MTV's "RapFix Live," Eve opened up about the video that many of her fans reportedly believed ex Stevie J released.

Stevie J of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" had allegedly claimed the video made Eve "hot," but she strongly disagrees. "It definitely didn't," she said. "When that happened, sex tapes weren't 'hot' like that, and I got the FBI involved. So that's not something I wanted to happen."

Eve went on to say how much the tape embarrassed her. "I respect my mother and my family and that's not something I am OK with," Eve shared on the show. "And it hurt my heart that anyone who was in my circle - whether it be him [Stevie] or anybody else - it hurt my heart that that went out there. That wasn't my thing."

Back in July, Stevie J denied any involvement in the tape release. "I made a tape and gave it to her and she took it on the road, on tour with her, and the rest was history," he told the show. "It wasn't me, I didn't leak that joint. I gave it to her and one of her girlfriends leaked it."

Eve is currently gearing up for the release of her 2013 album, Lip Lock.
