In an interview on Larry King Now, Eve spoke briefly about her female rap peer's prison stints.

Larry King prefaced the conversation with the lack of female rappers who are being signed to major labels and getting little or no major promotion.

“Since 2000, there have been significantly fewer female rappers signed to major labels or getting major promotion. Looking back, Remy Ma went to jail, Lil Kim went to jail, Da Brat went to jail, Foxy Brown went to jail, Lauryn Hill eventually went to jail. Why have they all going to jail? What is this?” he asked.

A befuddle Eve responded with a laugh, “I don’t know...s--- happens. I don’t even really know what else to say. I don’t know. I’m glad they’re all out of jail. They all are out of jail right? Yeah. They’re all out of jail."

The former Ruff Ryders rapper appears to be inspired and is back in the lab working on projects should wouldn't disclosed to King.

Meanwhile, later this summer, the 37-year-old rapper is joining Gwen Stefani on her "This Is What the Truth Feels Like" Tour. The North American trek launches on July 12 in Mansfield, Mass., and wraps up Oct. 15 in Los Angeles.
