Houston Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon may have left the NBA years ago but as far as shoes go he's set to enter the sneaker game. The retired b-baller has teamed up with Etonic and together they are set to re-issue his signature pro model sneakers.

The first out the gate is the Etonic Akeem The Dream and for those of you that don't remember the 80's it's a sneaker that harkens back to a simpler time with more multi-purpose technology. Set to drop in three colorways including black/white, red/white and white/red each look does much to honor his legacy with the Houston Rockets.

The kicks will be available in June at select retailers and at Etonic's official web store.

“When I became the Etonic Brand Ambassador during my rookie year, Etonic was fresh and new in the basketball arena," said Olajuwon in a press release. "It’s been my ambition to continue my brand in the footwear and apparel industry."

Along with former Jordan Brand designer D'wayne Edwards and Etonic CEO Bruce Westfield its clear that they are out to win.
