There’s an old saying that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. This adage rings true for Erykah Badu and her daughter Puma.

The R&B mom recently posted on her Instagram page showing off her 12-year-old daughter’s vocal prowess. In the video clips, Puma is sitting on an aerial ring as she sings Rihanna’s tender lyrics from her 2012 song, “Stay.”

Puma’s vocal range is flawless and it clearly shows that she’s being vocally trained by the best in the business - her own mother. Her performance was so captivating that Swizz Beatz commented that Badu should let his son Egypt produced a song for her ASAP. Now that sounds like a great idea to us.

There’s no word on Puma’s singing aspirations, but Badu has some very musical children. Her 20-year-old song, Seven Benjamin, whose father is OutKast’s Andre 3000, helped produced his mother's 2015 mixtape, But You Caint Use My Phone.

Overall, it’s great to see Badu’s household of talent form right before her eyes.
