Erykah Badu threw major shade at Iggy Azalea at the 2015 Soul Train Awards.

After telling the audience that she's "banning" hip-hop in favor of R&B, the "On & On" singer got a faux call from the "Fancy" rapper. In a comedic bit, Badu "received calls" from Andre 3000 and Young Thug and explained to them why they couldn't come to the award show.

But when it came to the Aussie rhymer, there was an exception. "You can come. What you're doing is definitely not rap," she said, much to crowd's amusement after witnessing the shade that was thrown at Azeala's way.

Naturally, fans jumped on social media and started creating memes and voicing their opinions about Badu's hilarious quip.

The most famous one repurposed the Lil Mama crying meme that surfaced last week. But instead of the "Lip Gloss" rapper it's Azalea who's crying. "When you're home minding your own business and being trash, and Erykah Badu throws show shade at you," reads the caption. Ouch.

Another showed a funny scene from the Eddie Murphy movie Boomerang where the characters spit out their drinks one after another. "Me after hearing and seeing how Erykah Badu obliterated Iggy Azalea on national TV," reads the tweet. Another commenter wrote that Badu didn't "just throw shade" but instead she "threw a forest" towards The New Classic creator. LOL!

Others are coming for Azalea's defense and have said the comment was uncalled for. "I think Badu needs to move on and on. Let Iggy do what she wants. Badu loses major rep not being a rap artist herself...," tweeted one fan.
