The Empire craze has returned since the show's second season premiered on Wednesday night (Sept. 23). Thousands of viewers tuned into the popular show with meme generators on hand and social media accounts logged in to bring forth some internet comedy inspired by the antics of Lucious, Cookie and the sea of celebrity guests.

One of the first things Empire fans noticed was a change in character for Jamal. Instagram users compared it to Drake's come up since they both were sweet guys when they first stepped on the scene. Now Jamal is a business monster. They're both also in #BeardGang.

Another hilarious post connected Chris Rock's short-lived cameo as the cannibal kingpin to his younger counterpart in Everybody Hates Chris. Rock's character, Frank Gathers, had the worst luck in prison as the Lyon patriarch, Lucious, sent his goons to kill him. The famous jingle "Everrryyboddy hatttesss Chrissss" plays in the background endnote over the moment. Tears.

Some more hilarity came from the scene where Anita, better known as Boo Boo Kitty, gets down on the dance floor with a little twerk. "When she skinny and hears 'cash money takin' over for the 99 and 2000,'" reads a tweet with a short clip of the hilarious dance moment. The phrase draws reference from one of the ultimate jams, "Back That Ass Up" by Juvenile.

50 Cent also threw his two cents in. After the Get Rich or Die Tryin' creator slammed the show for copying the marketing for his Starz effort, Power, the FOX show fired back. "50 Cent still taking jabs at us. Look what he put on the [Insta]gram,” said Taraji's character, Cookie, as she was walking with her assistant. “Thirsty ass." The Queens native made it into a reality though as he posted a video on Instagram in response to "Cookie."

"I can't believe Cookie would say some s--- like that about me," said 50. "Thirsty? Me? Thirsty? C'mon. You stupid?" Then he added: "Man, me and Cookie go way back. You know I hit that?"
