Eminem's eighth studio album is on the way. In April, news spread that the project would arrive after Memorial Day. So while fans await eagerly for Slim Shady to bless them with some unforgettable rhymes, there are photos of his recent studio sessions to hold them over in the meantime.

On Wednesday night (June 5), photos appeared on the ThisIs50.com Instagram page, showcasing Marshall Mathers alongside the Black Hippy crew. Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q were all in attendance.

Lamar and friends were also joined by producer Denaun Porter and Bad Meets Evil member Royce Da 5'9''.

The Black Hippy crew visited Eminem's Detroit studio during a stop on the good kid, m.A.A.d city tour.

While fans are left clueless as to what exactly the rappers were working on, there's excitement to be felt regarding possible new music.

Recently, Em was also spotted in the studio with fellow Detroit rhymer Big Sean.

Looks like Eminem's forthcoming opus is turning out to be a collaborative effort.
