Eminem Says ‘Trust Issues’ Stop Him From Dating

Since jumping back into the music scene last year, Eminem's career couldn't be better, but in light of all of his success the rapper has no plans of finding that someone special to share it with anytime soon. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Em revealed why he has no plans of jumping into the dating pool.

"I have trust issues," he told the magazine. "With women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are. I've got a small circle of friends, and it's a lot of the same friends I've known forever. Right now, that works for me. I came out of some difficult things these past couple of years. I kind of feel like I'm just now finding my footing, so I want to make sure that's secure before I go out and do anything else. I need to keep working on myself for a while."

Being such a high profile star only hinders Em's ability to be like everyone else. He can no longer go out in the public, without drawing a crowd, so doing something as simple as going on a date is pretty much out of the question. "As far as going out, like dinner and a movie, I just can't," he explained. "Going out in public is just too crazy. I mean, I'd like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn't? It's just hard to meet new people, in my position."

The 38-year-old father of two's most well-known relationship was with his ex-wife Kim, whom he famously rapped about in several of his songs, including his hit single 'Love the Way You Lie,' which chronicles a destructive and abusive relationship. Now that the couple has split, Em remains focused on his sobriety, rather than his love life. "I came out of some difficult things these past couple of years. I kind of feel like I'm just now finding my footing, so I want to make sure that's secure before I go out and do anything else. I need to keep working on myself for a while."
