Eminem is ready to rock Chicago. The Detroit native has been tapped to headline this year's Lollapalooza Festival, taking place from August 5-7 in the city's Grant Park.

Reliable industry sources told Chicago Tribune music critic Greg Kot that in addition to Slim Shady toplining the fest, Muse and Foo Fighters will be gracing the stage in Illinois. Though the official lineup won't be announced until April, bands and artists including Best Coast, Girl Talk, Lykke Li and Crystal Castles will also reportedly perform during the event.

Em comes in a long line of hip-hop artists to appear at the 20-year-old Lolla, which has been stationed in Chicago since 2004. Last year's event featured Cypress Hill, Erykah Badu, J. Cole, B.o.B and more, while previous festivals have included performances from Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, K'naan, Kid Sister and more.

The announcement comes ahead of this weekend's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, where Eminem is nominated in a staggering 10 categories. The controversial rapper, who will also perform at this Sunday's ceremony, was honored with an Album of the Year nod for 'Recovery,' as well as Record of the Year and Song of the Year hat-tips to 'Love the Way You Lie' featuring Rihanna. The awards are set to air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on Feb. 13 at 8PM EST on CBS.
