Eminem is changing lives this week. The rapper has became a hero to one of his youngest stans.

Teejay Stainer, a 10-year-old kid from the U.K., has lived with an amputated right leg since he was a 14-month old infant. Now he plays basketball and climbs trees thanks to Slim Shady’s inspirational lyrics. Teejay has been listening to the Detroit native since he was 2 — his parents put him on to Em’s music since they’re also fans.

“We have always taught him to listen to the lyrics and their meanings and as Eminem raps about surviving difficult times, it makes him feel brave, it makes him feel brave,” Teejay’s 28-year-old mother, Georgina, told the U.K.’s Daily Echo.

When Teejay got his first set of prosthetic legs, he designed them with his favorite rapper in mind. Em’s face decorates the legs, which he featured in a post on social media. “These are my Eminem legs I’ve had made. My wish is for Eminem to see them,” read a message from Teejay, which was shared thousands of times by social media users until it reached the 42-year-old rhymer.

Once the rapper got wind of Teejay’s story, he sent him a fitting album — Recovery — with an appreciative message. “To Teejay, I saw your pic and read your message! Thanks for the support!” he wrote.

After receiving the gift, which is likely his most prized possession at 10, Teejay had one more thing to tell the “Lose Yourself” rapper: “I just wanted to thank him for getting me through the difficult times and show him how dedicated I am.”

A young boy who had his prosthetic legs customised with the face of his hero Eminem was thrilled when the rap superstar contacted him after he saw the pictures on Twitter. Teejay Stainer is an amputee who was told he might never be able to walk after being born without a calf bone in his right leg. The 10-year-old credits Eminem's lyrics with making him feel brave enough to thrive in life. But he was stunned when 'the real Slim Shady' dropped him a line. His proud parents used Facebook to upload a photo of Teejay holding up a sign, which read: "These are my Eminem legs I've had made. My wish is for Eminem to see them." The image was shared more than 20,000 times across social networks as strangers around the world tried to help make his dream come true. And the year six school boy was 'amazed' when a postal package arrived at his home in Andover, Hampshire, featuring a copy of Eminem's Recovery album, which had been sent and personally signed by his favourite rapper. The 42-year-old star, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, wrote: "To Teejay, I saw your pic and read your message! Thanks for the support!" Brave Teejay, whose favourite songs by the rapper include Survival and Guts over Fear, said: "I was amazed when I saw the CD. *****read the rest; ***** #eminem #prostheticleg #eminemfan #amputee #disabilityawarness #disabilitynews #prettyawesome #randomread #socialmediaispowerful #revoveryalbum #teejaystainer #marshalmathers #slimshady
