That whole Elton John-Eminem Grammy duet in 2001 may have been much more than a publicity stunt or act to make nice. It seems the veteran British rocker is following the yellow brick road all the way to Compton as he tells Rolling Stone of his desire to record a hip-hop album with one of the genre's icons, Dr. Dre.

"I want to work with Pharrell, Timbaland, Snoop, Kanye, Eminem and just see what happens," John says in the Sept. 7 issue. "It may be a disaster, it could be fantastic, but you don't know until you try."

He also reveals that he's a fan of Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' and 2Pac's 'California Love.'
