With The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2 album dropping next monthE-40 has begun rolling out singles, the first being called "On One," featuring AD.

From the outset, the Bay Area (by way of Vallejo) rhymer displays an incredibly tight flow and raps the beginning of the verse on two separate tracks and overlaps them. It's a vocal technique that was made famous by Slick Rick in the 1980s.

"Only the strongest survive / Cali is where I reside / Hustlers with flashy rides / B----- with big thighs / Vigils with candlelight, artillery oversized / The element of surprise / Robberies homicides," spits 40 over booming drums and a catchy voice sample.

The West Coast legend also sends a warning to those who try to come for his finances.

"I be on one, my n---- / All I think about is money, p---- and liquor / Clientele and clapping I'm trying to get 10 figures / Try to wack me out and I'm going to get in your business," he rhymes.

Last week, 40 Water shared the tracklist for The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2 album, and guest features on the first book include G-Eazy, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, The Game, Jazze Pha and Erick Bellinger just to name a few. Book 2's features include Kid Ink, Jay Rock, Casey Veggies, Lil B, Mistah F.A.B and others.

You can listen to the first single "On One" below and cop E-40's new album on Nov. 18.
