E-40 Schools Kodak Black and Lil Yachty: ‘In 1993 I Referred to Weed as Broccoli’

Sometimes it takes one of rap’s older, legendary figures to set a couple of younger rappers straight. That’s how some may look at it after they hear E-40’s take on the beef between Kodak Black and Lil Yachty.

As we shared earlier, Kodak called Lil Boat and D.R.A.M. “square ass n—–” for using the term “Broccoli” to describe weed without his say-so. E-40, however, told everyone to stop beefing— one because it’s a waste of time, and two because he called marijuana “broccoli” 23 years ago in the early 90s, long before either one of them were even born.

“In 1993 I refer weed as Broccoli on my song ‘Practice Looking Hard,'” he wrote next to a clip of the actual video. “In 1998 I made a song called ‘Broccoli’ on my gold double album The Element of Surprise. #ProblemSolved, #Broccoli, F— beef. Get money.”

Here’s hoping the youngsters listen to their elders.
