Trash talking on the basketball court is a normal activity among NBA players, but Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green took it to a new level during Thursday night’s game (Feb. 23) against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Green blasted Clippers player Paul Pierce, who announced that he was retiring after the NBA season was over, after a call was made on the court.

“Chasing that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that, you can’t get that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that, you thought you was Kobe?” he yelled at Pierce.

It's no secret that Green and Pierce are not fans of each other. Nevertheless, Pierce hasn't been playing on an elite level this year (he’s played in only 13 games and is averaging 3.7 points), so this might explain why Green aimed his vitriol at him. Having said that, the Golden State Warriors trounced the L.A. Clippers 123-113 in that game.
