Drake’s ‘Views from the 6′ Will Be ‘What Everybody Expects’
This spring, fans will finally get to cop Drake’s anticipated album, Views from the 6. But not much info has been issued about the project. However, Drizzy’s longtime producer, Noah “40” Shebib, says the rapper’s fourth studio album will be well worth the wait.
In an interview with the New York Times, 40 reveals that Drake wanted to do more rapping on the album, but he feared that he might alienate his core fans.
“After Nothing Was the Same, Drake was like, ‘I want to do a rap project,” he said. “He wanted to do what all the other rappers get to do. [But] we have other fans we need to satisfy.”
As to what kind of sounds Drake and 40 are planning to bring to the new album, the Grammy-winning producer assures us that they are “pushing the boundaries” and delivering “untraditional sounds” to the project.
“It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us,” 40 told the NYTimes. “A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.”
Get ready, Drizzy Season is coming.
