Drake’s Dad Says There’s No Romance Between Drake and Rihanna: ‘They’re Friends’
For years, many speculated that Drake and Rihanna were simply more than just frequent collaborators. Even though their indomitable chemistry on "Take Care," "What's My Name," and "Work" prove otherwise, the two have never acknowledged the status of their relationship. After chasing down Drake's dad, Dennis Graham, TMZ was able to get the scoop to see whether Drizzy and Rihanna are officially an item.
"They're friends. They've been friends for years," says Mr. Graham after being asked if he was happy about the two being together. As far as seeing the two settling down, he debunked those claims and believes that his son Drizzy is still on the prowl.
"I don't know about settling down. No, they're friends," he told a horde of reporters. Even after one reporter asked whether we would see some type of longevity in their relationship, Mr. Graham once again stood firm on his stance. "There's no relationship. They're friends."
This past summer, the two have been spotted performing together on several occasions. Drake appeared on several stops for Rihanna's "Anti Tour," while the Bajan bombshell returned the favor on Drizzy's "Summer 16 Tour." Last month, Drake presented Rihanna with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at MTV's Video Music Awards. There, his candor was on full display, as he revealed his love for Riri.
"But most of all, we love the woman who hasn't changed since day one. She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me. She's a living breathing legend in our industry."
Aside from that, the two even got matching shark tattoos. Rumors disseminated like wildfire when pictures of Rihanna's new shark tattoo hit the web. Many believe that her tattoo signals her allegiance to Drake, who shares the same tattoo on his right forearm.
So that leaves us to wonder, what's really going on with RiRi and Drizzy?
