With a lockout threatening the NBA season, the folks over at 2K Sports are looking to capitalize on the basketball void by tapping Drake and Michael Jordan to appear in their latest ad for the 'NBA 2K12' video game.

In the commercial, Drizzy, Jordan, and fans of the Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Knicks all make their case for their favorite teams.

Snubbing his hometown Toronto Rappers, Drake throws his support behind the Miami Heat during the argument. "Today's Miami Heat plays above the rim," Drake says. "Larry Bird couldn't even reach the rim."

To his credit, Jordan maintains his loyalty to his Chicago Bulls. "Who's the greatest team ever? 96' Bulls," he contends, referencing the year in which he and his teammates became the first team to win 70 regular season games, defeating the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA Finals. "I let my ring do my talking," he concludes.

'NBA 2K12,' hits stores Oct. 4., will be the first video game to be offered in 3D for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles, offering players the opportunity to choose between three different game covers featuring Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson.

Drake's sophomore album 'Take Care' will be released on Oct. 24.
