Drake and Juvenile

Popular Canadian rapper Drake and beloved local legend Juvenile have been selected to appear alongside a star-studded lineup of jazz, rock and R&B artists at the 41st Annual Jazz Fest in New Orleans this coming April. The Fest also boasts performances by soul legends Aretha Franklin and Lionel Richie and revered rockers Van Morrison and Pearl Jam, and takes place April 29 - May 2.

"It's just a way cool thing that Jazz Fest is so broad that it can embrace all these different things, all these different artists," Jazz Fest's producer Quint Davis said in a recent interview about the event.

The legendary festival will feature hundreds of performers, many of whom are local artists, such as The Neville Brothers, Irma Thomas and Trombone Shorty.

While Juvenile has appeared at the festival in the past, Drake joins Anita Baker and The Dead Weather as first-time performers.

Tickets for Jazz Fest go on sale on Dec. 22.
