Drake, Grammys 2013: ‘Take Care’ Wins Best Rap Album

Drake‘s album Take Care took home the award for Best Rap Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

He had some stiff competition in the category, going up against Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1; The Roots’ Undun; Nas’ Life Is Good; Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t and 2 Chainz’s Based on a T.R.U. Story.

Take Care, Drake’s second LP, was propelled by the singles “Headlines,” “The Motto,” “H.Y.F.R. (Hell Ya Fucking Right) and the title track, which featured Rihanna.

Safe to say it was a pretty big album for the Cash Money rapper. We think the Grammys got this award right, for sure. Although certainly a case could be made for the other albums nominated.
