Dr. Dre to Reveal Third ‘Detox’ Single With Eminem on Showtime
Dr. Dre's third official single, 'Die Hard,' will premiere on the final episode of Showtime's 'Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley,' on Friday (May 6). The announcement was made at the end of last week's penultimate episode of the four-part documentary series, which gives fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the preparation for the upcoming welterweight championship fight between Manny Pacquiao and "Sugar" Shane Mosley.
Like Dre's second single, 'I Need a Doctor,' 'Die Hard' also features his protege and motivator Eminem, a key contributor to Dre's long-delayed third opus, 'Detox.' The Michael Jackson-like television promotion of their new single comes on the heels of Eminem and Dre's recent commercial appearance in a series of Chrysler ads, which debuted at this year's Super Bowl.
Em and Dre are not the only hip-hop icons involved in the upcoming match, which is one of the year's most anticipated fights. Miami boss Rick Ross has also announced that he will be involved in the fight, claiming that he will be walking Pacquaio into the ring on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
It has also been announced that Eminem will be releasing an EP with partner in rhyme Royce Da 5'9", entitled 'Bad Meets Evil,' a nod to their 1999 single of the same name, hitting stores in June, via Shady Records.
While 'Die Hard' is Dre's third official single, 'Detox' still has no firm release date.
