Fans got an early taste of what Dr. Dre's been cooking up in the lab for his oft-delayed third album 'Detox' after a few tracks from the offering leaked into cyberspace. But according to the man himself, the unauthorized leaks won't have a place on the upcoming LP. He's been recording brand new material to take its place.

"There's no leaks that came out that's gonna be on the record," Dre told DJ Iroc backstage at the historic Eminem/Jay-Z concert at Yankee Stadium. "I got hard new shit, had a little bit of leak in my security and what have you, but I got new shit coming and trust me, it will not be a disappointment, you know what I mean? Y'all n----s gonna love this shit."

The biggest leak so far from 'Detox' came earlier this June, when the Jay-Z-assisted 'Under Pressure' found its way onto the Internet. "I want to set the record straight for everybody who's been waiting to hear my music," wrote Dre on his website. "The song that's on the Internet is an incomplete song that I'm still working on. When it's ready, you'll be hearing it from me." Two months later, another song titled 'Turn Me On' leaked as well. Dr. Dre is now hard at work on 'Detox,' which was first announced in 2003, with plans to release the album later this year.

"I'm leaving this event [and] going right to the studio," Dre told The BoomBox while walking the red carpet at this year's ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards in late June. "I'm trying to put it out by the end of the fall. I'm trying to give everybody what they're waiting for and make sure they're not disappointed." When 'Detox' finally does drop, at least the masses will have something to toast it with.
