Dom Kennedy Tells a ‘South Central Love’ Story in New Video

Dom Kennedy has dropped a video for 'South Central Love,' the lead single off his upcoming 'Get Home Safely' album.The video shows Dom find a girl while living the gang lifestyle in South Central. He romances her, taking her out to eat, while simultaneously dealing drugs and getting caught up in the vices around him. At one point in the video, he is arrested after cops pull over the vehicle he was riding in. Adding to the visual are cameos by Nipsey Hussle and Baron Davis.

The song itself is produced by the Futuristiks, and is fairly simple. This is head nod music at its finest. Dom sounds at ease channeling his personality and charisma over the beat. The song also has added vocals from Jazzy that add flourish to the track. If 'South Central Love' is a sign of things to come, 'Get Home Safely' should be a standout project in a very flooded 2013 market.
