DMX's wife Tashera Simmons has announced her official separation from the Yonkers rapper, along with a brand new reality series that will chronicle her family's life without him.

Simmons explained to AllHipHop.com that the new show, titled, 'Tashera Simmons: Life After X,' is intended to document her family's struggle dealing with DMX's ongoing drug and legal issues. She also attempted to straighten out the details surrounding her upcoming book, 'Tashera Simmons: Strength of A Woman,' by explaining that it is not solely intended to be a negative representation of DMX."It's not a tell-all, I want to clear that up," Simmons says. "It's a memoir, it's a story about our life, my life and our life together. My side of the story, because I feel like in his book, he didn't really get into detail to better explain it. I'm talking about everything, from my childhood when I was abandoned by my mother and left to take care of my siblings, to when me and Earl [DMX] first met at 11 and we got together at 18 and I'm starting from there until then on... It's a positive tell-all."

Simmons says that she's currently shopping her new TV show to several networks. Her family last appeared on the BET reality series 'DMX: Soul of a Man,' which was recorded in 2006. DMX was released from an Arizona jail on July 6, after serving two months of a six-month sentence stemming from a March parole violation for drug use.
